Description

In this episode of Commercial Real Estate Talk with Steve and Arnie, our hosts interview Colton Sudberry, President & CEO of Sudberry Properties, an extremely active developer of large, master-planned, multi-phased, mixed-use projects around San Diego County over the past five decades. In this very interesting and informative conversation, we discuss: growing up in San Diego and going to University of Colorado and playing on the Buffalos football team that won the national championship in 1990; how he started in commercial real estate before joining his father in the development business; the first major development deal he accomplished; the standout development of his career; the one he wishes he didn't start; details about Sudberry’s current projects - Civita, El Corazon and Watermark; how Sudberry finds, finances, analyzes and exits properties. We then heard his views on the different sectors Sudberry operates in and the challenges involved with developing in each. Other topics covered include the firm's hiring needs and charitable efforts, along with Colton's personal interests. Thank you, Colton, for the great conversation and for sharing all this valuable information with our audience!! It is another "must watch" show if you are in the commercial real estate investment world.
