Description

Hudson Yards is the largest privately funded real estate development in U.S. history. It's currently a $25-billion-dollar project, offering a true #liveworkplay environment boasting a new #smartbuilding community in Manhattan. Related Companies CTO and Managing Director of Technology, #HudsonYards Kenneth Finnegan explains why it is important to integrate the Hudson Yards experiences into all of New York City, “Because we like to think that we are becoming the new heart of New York City.” The #smartneighborhood focuses on the #tenantexperience, including commercial space, private residences and a million square foot retail facility. Building technology was designed to enable how tenants interact with their building and home. Commercial tenants include Coach, L'Oreal, SAP, Warner Media. “If it's a place that you go to work every single day, we want to use technology to make that a special experience,” Finnegan says. Technology also supports the team operating Hudson Yards, from security to janitorial staff. Tracking employee productivity ensures proper staffing and security, where safety and fun are an integral part of the property experience. Luxury is another key aspect of Hudson Yards. Residents use their smart phones to unlock doors and commercial tenants will soon be able to enter with #biometric palm scans. These enhancements help reduce friction that tenants face daily, Finnegan says. Hudson Yards and Kenneth Finnegan were featured on #ConferenceLIVE at #Realcomm | IBcon 2019. https://www.realcomm.com/
